Check products for accuracy using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, Smart Scope, Zeiss CMM machine, Comparator.
Record measurements on SPC sheets, fill out First Article paperwork after set-ups and submit to Q/C. Read Travelers for work instructions. Log parts into system.
Operate/Set-up multiple machines such as Robo Drills, Matsuura VX1000, Kitamura, Matsuura MAM72 5-axis, Matsuura MX-330 5-axis with Trinity Robot, Haas, Okuma Horizontal and vertical, Mori Horizontal, Mazak, Makino 5-axis.
Perform daily maintenance on machines including making/ filling machines with coolant, cleaning screens, recovering ATC arms and pallets if needed. Call technicians to walk thru troubleshooting/changing parameters, calibrating probes on machines.
Edit programs to run on different machines, edit programs at machine to fix bad code or change feeds/speeds if needed.
Help receiving cut different materials on horizontal auto saw including plastics, aluminum, inconel, sst 303/304, 17-4, 316.
2 years experience as Lead for Milling Department.
Attend meetings for incoming new parts, new processes, GEMBA meetings for production.
Monitor tooling/equipment and get quotes to order tooling.
Assist with planning for machines.
Save proven programs to system. Upload programs to machines, review programs for any errors. Update set-up books with correct tooling info and set-up instructions. Work closely with Programmer.
