Here at Kelly Fuels I feel that I have done great work and created an environment that is welcoming and consistent to our customers and my coworkers.

My day-to-day process can change depending on the shift I am working and the location I am at, but the general list of things I focus on are as follows:

  • Ensure customers can leave satisfied. If not I will try to remedy the situation. An example of this could be if one of our coffee machines are out of order, I will to explain to the customer when it might be working again or encourage them to try another one of our products.
  • Keep the location clean and organized. This may include keeping floors clean, wiping down counters or making sure the employee workspace is clean. It is essential for the customer and employee experience to make sure the location is not dirty or messy.
  • Make things things are prepared for the next shift. One of the biggest issues I've heard employees talk about at any Kelly's location I've worked at has been previous shifts either not doing tasks properly or at all. While things happen that can make these tasks more difficult throughout the day, these being done are essential to make the shift change as smooth as possible.

I developed a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment, which allowed me to learn how to prioritize my time well, without sacrificing the quality of my work or the reputation with our customer base.
