In the decade since I've started working. I've worked at the same two companies. I have a strong sense of loyalty to the company I work at and have every desire and intention on staying within the company.
Since the age of sixteen, I have been working in high traffic stores. Due to this I am well versed and trained in working in those conditions. In both retail and food service, I've had to utilize a high level of awareness and time management to make sure that everything is running as smoothly as possible. Working in the positions I have for as long as I have, it has become second nature to constantly look for ways to adapt and improve wherever I can to increase productivity.
I am well acquainted with downstacking trucks and maintaining inventory in a timely manner. While working in retail, my day consisted of early morning trucks, then inventory. Once everything was tagged and numbered, making sure stock was out on the floor and properly rotated became my routine until shift change.
In food service, learning how to effectively manage my time and stations while maintaining a positive atmosphere and demeanor became second nature. I became quickly used to the workflow and rose from server, to shift lead, to manager. My tasks rose from simple time management and positive customer relations, to doing whatever was necessary to provide a positive and cohesive environment to keep the business running smoothly.
