  • Manage staff associated with recycling facilities and programs, including scheduling, hiring, termination, discipline, and rewarding.
  • Manage facility and equipment budget, including revenue and operating expenses, as well as the purchasing of tools, equipment, materials, third party services/labor, etc.
  • Manage the Recycling Facility and the Construction and Demolition recycling areas (wood, concrete, metal, tires, appliance, single stream, cardboard) which entails oversight of any new construction projects occurring, coordinating third party labor and trades from equipment repairs to concrete crushing to facility maintenance/repairs, performing minor building and heavy equipment maintenance, operating heavy equipment, record logging, permit overview and compliance, budget tracking, implementing current and new safety policies, incident reporting, year-end reports, etc.
  • Continuously building internal and external relationships, working on projects throughout the agency with other members of our management team, and coordinating various items with partners and customers.
  • Successfully launched and currently sustaining a curbside trash and recycling cart delivery/removal/repair program.
  • Successfully launched and currently sustaining/growing an appliance recycling and de-manufacturing program which included oversight of the construction of the facility and the permitting.
  • Successfully launched and currently growing a concrete crushing program, decreasing our facility rock expense by roughly 60 to 70 percent by using recycled concrete.
  • Recently launched a co-mingled waste sorting program, extracting recyclable materials from mixed C&D waste loads, which is seeing early success and gaining great recognition from our board of directors.
