RESS Shift Leader (Pack & Module Assembly)

Lead a production team as the first High Volume Battery Assembly Shift Lead for BEV and BET battery manufacturing assembly on Pack Main Line and Stacker/Module Final Assembly. In this role I worked on creating and implementing new processes, executing traditional GM processes, and establishing lessons learned. Actively engaged in IRT process and quality resolution and easel board reviews. Supported safety reviews of the entire process for the Pack Main Line and the Module Final Assembly. Worked closely with the EVOS team to document open issues and resolve with engineering controls to proactively eliminate safety issues.

· Lead Represented Core Launch team and is the point person for all related launch activities for the GMC Hummer Truck, SUV and Cruise Origin.
· Coordinated with the Production, Technical Services, Zone Engineering, Product Engineering, Pre-Production Operations, Quality, and Ergo, and Safety with build process training, issue resolutions, and application demonstrations within the shop. · Ensures that the GA manufacturing validation plan supports the acceleration schedules and comprehends the plant build restrictions

· Drives ergonomics issue resolution by ensuring that General Assembly ergonomic reviews are occurring, and corrective actions are developed
· Provided leadership and Production input to Global Manufacturing Systems implementation, pulling on additional support as required
· Manage the review and buy-off of General Assembly responsible items in vehicle retrofits execution on any vehicles before shipping

• Led a team of 4 salary Group Leaders and supervised over 150 hourly employees on the HFV6 Engine Assembly Line, producing 550 jobs/shift.
• Managed the Throughput Improvement Process, identifying top bottlenecks on the HFV6 Assembly Line and working with the Team Leaders to root cause issues, resulting in an increase in production from averaging 500 jobs/shift to averaging 550 jobs/shift.
• Responsible for Meeting Cost, Schedule and Quality requirements.
