I started at Walker Forge with little knowledge of the Facility Maintenance department I was entering. After working with them for almost two years, I have expanded my mechanical knowledge, wall repair, and door repair. I have continued to manage my time better and completing projects in a timely manner. Further learning what quality of work means to a large company, understanding how important the first impression is for a potential customer.
Entering waitstaff was quite a different experience than I was expecting. I felt that I did quite well in that work field. I built multiple relationships with returning customers; I enhanced my customer service skills. Continuing to process multiple forms of payments. Kept a clean work and dining environment to keep in line with regulations and customer satisfaction. Handling customer complaints well and keeping operations as smooth as possible during rushes.
Piggly Wiggly was my first job. I adapted to processing payments well and efficiently. Scanning and bagging groceries for customers of all ages, not too heavy for some. Stocking and facing the shelves, keeping the dates correct and up-to-date. Removing expired items to prevent sale of these items.
