My background in social work has opened my eyes to working with a vulnerable patient base and coordinating with those patients in a manner of self growth. Working within the emergency department and other hospital settings, I have had the pleasure of seeing the health care system function from someone's admission through until their discharge and everything in between. I have always been a more hands-on learner and my work ethic stands strong. I will continue to push my education and experience to care for those who need support.

Work History
Licensed Graduate Social Worker
Regions Hospital
Saint Paul, Minnesota
01.2025 - Current
My role as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker at Regions Hospital takes place directly on a Medical Surgery Floor. My role is more clinical based with the patients directly and sometimes having to work with a patient's family to create the best and safest possible outcomes. I work with patients who are considered to be un-housed, financially un-stable, or considered to be vulnerable adults. My work pairs with Psychiatrist, General Medicine, Surgery Teams, and more specialty teams including Addiction Medicine and the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors. My role is dedicated to supporting patients in the short term while they are admitted to the hospital. That can include outpatient supports like psychiatry, primary doctor follow-up visits, and inpatient placement for rehabilitation and/or substance treatment. Making sure that the vulnerable people in the hospital have the best chance at a high-quality life, or supporting them during their last days, is the top priority. We do work with individuals transitioning to hospice or comfort-level care, and supporting families in next steps, as well as working through the grieving times they may be experiencing.

Also, I worked in the level three/special education wing of the middle school, where the students needed further one-on-one support. Social Work Intern
Mayo Hospital
Mankato, MN

This was my master's level internship at Mayo Mankato Hospital Emergency Department. My main role was to address the patients and the variety of needs that arose in the emergency department. I had completed several diagnostic assessments with patients from a variety of backgrounds. Most of the diagnostic assessments I completed were in reference to a patient in crisis. Another large role I held was responding to all crisis code calls and priority calls in the emergency department, and when working the evenings, we would respond to all units in the hospital. This internship offered me a lot of great hands-on experience working with patients and their families with several different complications.
