Job overview

  • Developed several programs for small buisnesses to large nonprofit organization for federal grant funding programs, such as with Virginia Department of Health, Virginia Behavioral Development Services, Human Social Services for programs which provided educational funding, mental health and substancue use disorders. I developed and rant my own organization from Govenor Ralph Northam's Second Chance Act. My organization A Chance for Change, provided mental health, substance abuse clinical services to the vulnerable and underserved adult populations in the Hampton Roads & Tidewater areas of Virginia. I created the first dual diagnosis recovery programs in Norfolk during 2019-2023 when I received my master's degree from Regent University School of Law, focusing on Contracts, Negotiations, and Family Law.
  • I have over five years of experience as a board member and volunteer with the Autism Society of Virginia. I am also a Facilitator with NAMI for advocating for individuals with mental health needs. I have worked in the school sector in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Mecklenburg County Schools. Many of these programs I have developed working with agencies from the ground up, laying out a framework, and defining roles.

  • Collaborated with various teams to uncover issues, identify applicable solutions, and offer guidance.
  • Scheduled and supervised staff conducting bi-weekly supervision and team meetings to ensure the organization's quality and compliance with services for children and families served.
