Summary

At Northern Pipeline Construction I started as a general laborer, which included: digging holes with shovels, spotting gas lines for equipment operator, installing new gas services from gas main to customer houses, fighting live gas taps to plug an abandoned service, and proper backfill tamping. I also completed fire training school in Topeka Kansas and fought live gas fires. I was then promoted from laborer and joined the operators union as an excavator operator. This task included digging up gas mains, digging bell holes for new gas services, and trenching in new poly services. When my foreman was gone, I was the relief foreman for the crew. This task included: talking to customers, turning in time for my crew, making sure our jobs ran smoothly and efficiently, and getting the job done correctly.

While at Eck Services I started as a plumber. My job tasks were to fix all plumbing issues, both residential and commercial. Some of these tasks consist of: replacing all water lines, sewer lines, installing water softeners, water heaters, sewer laterals and septic tanks. I also installed new bath tubs, shower walls, toilets and dug up water and sewer leaks with excavator.

After Eck Services I was offered another job at Northern Pipeline Construction as a meter technician. My duties as a meter tech involved replacing old residential meters to updated meters. Northern Pipeline Construction is a contractor for Kansas Gas Services. After I replaced the customers meter my job was to test the house piping to ensure there were no gas leaks. From there I would leak detect the service line and then go inside customers homes to relight any gas service appliance and record all information.

At Chieftain Supply my job tasks included, but were not limited to rebuilding oilfield equipment. Some of the equipment I worked on was down hole oil pumps, kimray back pressure valves, oil dumps, water dumps and western chemical pumps. I also kept inventory of all my parts and ordered when needed.

Here at my current job, G & S Roustabout, I am a Roustabout hand. My tasks include all things oilfield such as, fixing leaks, replacing oil dumps, water dumps and kimray valves, digging and exposing main gas lines, rebuilding pumping unit motors, liners, clutches, balance units, motor swaps, and welding poly oil and gas lines.
