• This was by far the most significant job I’ve ever had. Working with my boss, Chris, taught me invaluable lessons about perseverance, honesty, and attention to detail. I learned that taking pride in your work makes a noticeable difference, both in the quality of the outcome and how others perceive it.
• This role also solidified my leadership abilities. I often found myself instructing, guiding, and occasionally “babysitting” team members three times my age—a challenging but rewarding experience that taught me how to lead with patience and confidence.
• Teamwork became another core lesson for me. In today’s world, most projects are team-based collaborations, and I learned how crucial it is to foster good communication and cooperation.
• My primary duties included repairing and restoring carpentry and framing, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, performing small electrical repairs, completing full additions, and handling installations. These responsibilities allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set applicable to all aspects of construction.
• Demonstrated versatility in adapting quickly between different types of skilled labor tasks depending on project requirements.
• Overall, this job not only enhanced my technical expertise but also shaped me into a more capable leader and team player, preparing me for future challenges in the industry.
