  • Facilitate the safe and timely loading in, assembly, and loading out of scenery and equipment for visiting performance companies in multiple venues, including 2 proscenium theaters, multiple studio spaces, and a 2000 seat amphitheater.
  • Maintain the performance and production areas of all CPO venues for both the sake of safety and professionalism. This includes working with the campus facilities departments to quickly correct or update any issues with the buildings.
  • Assist in budgetary and scheduling discussions for productions, giving my thoughts from a technical standpoint.
  • Assist in the scheduling of crews for all load ins, show calls, and strikes.
  • Manage crews for all load ins, show calls, and strikes for department productions, University events, and select rental events.
  • Work in conjunction with academic units to facilitate any productions they do in the various venues that CPO oversees.
  • Work with the production staff of visiting companies to solve any technical issues of all given shows.
  • Work with various departments within the university (Student Development and Campus Life, The President's office, etc.) to assist in the production of special events, both in the spaces that fall under CPO, as well as other areas around campus.

    • Primary carpenter, welder and rigger for the productions of The Grapes of Wrath and Stage Door (2012-13), and Equus, First in Flight, and 42nd Street (2013-14)
    • Worked with students during the productions, both using their existing skills, as well as teaching them new techniques to advance both their skills as fabricators, as well as their sense of safety in a theater environment.
    • Assisted the technical director in making construction decisions, materials lists, and build and installation schedules.

  • Built scenery for Off Broadway (Theater Works USA, Making Books Sing), for corporate events (20th Century Fox, Heineken, Dunkin Donuts), for trade shows (Baldor Foods, Snapple), and for concert events (Matisyahu, My Morning Jacket).
