Underwriting loans remotely for FHA, FNMA, FHLMC, and Correspondent Jumbo Loan programs. My knowledge has expanded by working for such a large organization by adding additional programs as well as new geographic locations to my experience. Being previously located in NY, I am familiar with underwriting requirements for coop loans, as well as CEMA transactions. Delegated underwriting for the Jumbo program, the experience I have gained due to the complexity of the borrowers is substantial. My responsibilities include the validation of internal, investor-specific, and automated underwriting guidelines and requirements for complex loan transactions. Each day, I specifically review all documents pertaining to credit, collateral, income, and assets, verifying accuracy and completeness.
I began working on site as a contract underwriter for Radian in May of 2001 and was hired 4 months later by MCS Mortgage Bankers. My responsibilities include review and analysis of FHA 203b, 203k, Non Conforming, Cooperative Share loans as well as FNMA and FHLMC loans, while adhering to company, investor and industry guidelines. I have worked directly with senior management evaluating and structuring transactions. I have reviewed complex loans for 2nd level approval and assisted management in training of new underwriters. During my time with MCS I also held the position of Secondary Marketing Manager where I managed the locking of loans and investor pipelines however for the past 9 years my focus has been on underwriting.
