Accomplishments

The first cake I ever made to order was for the Queen Mother of Great Britain, on the occasion of her ‘Trooping the colours’ of the Black Watch Regiment, which were stationed in West Berlin, West Germany at the time. I also helped decorate a large ‘dummy’ cake for then-President Ronald Reagan when he came to West Berlin and gave his ‘Tear down the wall’ speech.

Upon my return to the US, I made specialty cakes for the CEO of Florsheim Shoes, stockholders of Wisconsin Gas, and Harley-Davidson. I also made the 21st birthday cake of Shaquille O’Neal.

Additional Information

I have been fortunate in my career to work with some amazing bakers and pastry chefs, and they all shared their skills with me. After I returned to the US, I not only continued on my pastry and baking career, but I branched out into cooking. I have a remarkable palate, and I have the ability to naturally understand what flavors and textures work well together. I can also deconstruct most prepared entrees into individual ingredients by tasting them as a finished product. I love food, and I love the infinite possibilities of creating something new and unexpected.

I believe I am a great match for your company, as I have so many well honed skill sets to offer, be it management, cheese, floral, wine and beer, or even deli. I love to work and put my creative energies to use, and I love helping my clients discover new foods and food pairings.
