Work History
Industrial HVAC Maintenance Technician
1 Month- Performed preventative maintenance on chillers, boilers, and cooling towers frequently located at major industrial power plants in a 250mile surrounding area and also locally. Learned how to properly maintenance chillers boilers and cooling towers.
- Sometimes would ride along with service technicians and learn more on the service side of fixing these types of equipment.
- Conducted routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cooling systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnosed and repaired mechanical failures, enhancing system reliability and reducing downtime.
Sales Technician
4 Months- 90% of this role was to upsell once we arrived at the customer's home and assessed their needs to best be kept safe by our home security equipment and get them set up on a payment plan, the other 10% of the job was running cat5 cables and rj45 connections for cameras.
- Installed security systems including windows and door sensors, indoor cameras, outdoor cameras and spotlight attachments, glassbreak detectors, water-trip hazards, smart thermostats, smart locks, front door cameras to speak through and notify of deliveries, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conducted thorough assessments of client properties to determine optimal security solutions.
HVAC Technician
10 Months- HVAC Technician,i would grab equipment needed for the day and respond to maintenance/service calls. I maintenance a good bit of commercial but mainly residential, i would take light service calls for residential as well, I'm an honest technician so I don't make a bunch of money selling un-needed new units but I can sleep at night. Repairs ranged from mini-split units to 40+ton units.
- Performed troubleshooting on HVAC systems to determine root cause of issues.
- Conducted maintenance service on HVAC systems to increase life expectancy of equipment and prevent costly repair work.
Maintenance Mechanic
10 Years 4 Months- Maintenance Mechanic duties spanned a 170+ acre area working on 40-50 regular standalone homes, and about 700 apartment and assisted living homes. 40-hour specialized training was required to enter the memory care facility to be able to work in that area.
- A range of repairs from notifying director of maintenance about new roofs that were needed, supervising and checking chillers, cleaning the floats on massive sewers, fixing the front gates not opening, calling contractors if needed.
- Basic mechanical/electrical/plumbing/carpentry/hvac and all appliances work. Call the resident of the way the job, receive a survey of how we did, go to the next one.
- Our maintenance crew had 33 employees and I consistently week after week held the highest amount of completed work orders.
Manager of Operations
10 Years 3 Months- Manager at CMSI, would start the day by getting warehouse and all equipment ready for 3-4 techs to grab everyday, i would service and fix the oxygen concentrators, replace o2 boards, use o2 analyzers to ensure purity of air is always above 92%, fix tens of thousand dollar beds when they break, then during the day when customers came in help with setting up a cpap machine or showing them how to use the medical equipment we offered, check on techs throughout the day to ensure jobs are getting done. Received shipments each week of o2 tanks, beds, etc, i would unload and unload in the warehouse. The job included a lot of data entry. Ensured we passed our 3 year DOH inspection with clear indications of safe and clean areas on our entire facility and tools.
- Led hiring, onboarding and training of new hires to fulfill business requirements.
- Established positive and effective communication among staff and organizational leadership, reducing misunderstandings and missed deadlines.
- Identified and resolved unauthorized, unsafe, or ineffective practices.
- Taught employees how the equipment works and how to show the customers when they need service.
APPLIANCE REPAIR TECHNICIAN
10 Months- Formerly a service tech for US Appliance Repair, a subsidiary of GLISe and OMB. I serviced a 200mile radius from our Tallahassee branch servicing contract warranties with Samsung, GE, Maytag, Kenmore LG, Electrolux Frigidaire, Bosch, Supre Trade, Assurant, Sharp, AIG, NAS & others. I diagnose and repair all units from basic repairs to sealed systems with compressor filter-drier and heat exchanges. As an appliance field technician I serviced everything from refrigerators, washers, dryers, window ac units, to dishwashers, ranges and microwaves. EPA certified on all refrigerant systems.
- Ordered replacement parts as needed for repairs.
- Inspected, tested, and repaired electrical components.
- Advised customers on best practices for the maintenance of appliances.
- Analyzed schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting guides to diagnose and repair problems.
- Provided feedback and guidance for the phone customers who need assistance with their appliances.
APPLIANCE INSTALLER/ DELIVERY DRIVER
3 Months- Using forklifts to grab appliances from 3 stories up in a warehouse and get them down in the warehouse and move them by dolly to the delivery trucks for the day.
- Installation of appliances like washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves and ranges.
- Filled out detailed work orders for each job completed.
- Kept accurate records of time and materials used for each job to compile into service reports.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
CARPET CLEANER/ FLOOR RESTORATION
6 Years 3 Months- Driving the company vehicle to multiple job sites per day to fulfill orders/services requested.
- Customer service taking each with each individual at each job, about 5-8 people a day, and making sure they are satisfied with the job that was done and helped them with anything extra that they needed so they were fully satisfied when we left.
- Flood maintenance, where there would be a flood in a residential home or commercial building, i would determine how much damage was done and what would be needed to repair the sheetrock, drywall or carpeting or any tiles that was damaged, and would call the owners and dehumidifiers to begin the drying of water damage process.
- Pressure washing, carpet cleaning, dryers, etc.
- I was the face of the company and the first person they met, my job is to establishing a good reputation for the company based on the work performed and social interactions made.
