I am a very driven person always looking to improve and sharpen my skills. My goal is to put myself around people that know more than me and are living the life that I am pursuing.
I grew up on the old Doc Bar Ranch helping my family run their hospitality operation. I got a lot of experience with ranch tasks and repairing anything that broke. I have also had to teach adults how to shoot and have high level convocations with them at a young age. This job taught me responsibility, communication skills and gave me a solid work ethic. My family moved to the old JL Ranch in November of 2021. Their was a lot more infrastructure there that needed a lot of maintenance. I learned a lot there about water lines, scraping and maintaining roads, wrenching on vehicles, pluming and some electrical.
I started day working for neighboring ranches, this gave me experience fencing, doctoring yearlings, processing cattle, shipping and receiving cattle, building corrals, welding poly pipe, and branding.
In spring of 2025 I loaded my horse and headed for the Big Creek ranch in Encampment Wyoming to help calve out heifers. I learned how to pull calves and how to judge what needs to be pulled, pairing out, sorting in pens and working out of a rodear. I also re-shaped ditches with a backhoe, I irrigated a lot of pasture and doctored calves. I spent time feeding cattle, welding continues fence and repairing jugs in the calving barn. This was a great opportunity for me to gain new skills and sharpen the ones I have built in the past.
I am currently a Student at Feather River Collage looking to get more experience outside of what the school offers. I hope to gain more connections in the industry and learn more about the ranching lifestyle from new people. I just joined the Feather River Collage rodeo team and I enjoy riding, roping, running equipment and mechanical repair work. I have a solid work ethic and value my work greatly. I am driven and am a sponge to knowledge.
