Colton Burross

I am currently an undergraduate student at Texas A&M University expected to graduate in August 2024 with a BA majoring in German and a minor in Physics. I have done some research at the university with Professor Peter Brown on looking at the photometry spectra supernovae and how it compares to the theoretical models. I also have years of prior work experience with my most recent job as a barista at Starbucks. I worked for the company for four years and honed my public speaking skills when it came to customer service. My communication skills developed the most working at Starbucks along with working in a very social environment with coworkers and customers. Learning how to connect with customers proved very useful with networking and meeting new people. My previous job was a package handler at UPS where I would load and unload trucks with packages. My tasks included loading packages in a securely and timely manner as well checking to see if they were in the proper condition to ship. The job as well got me used to working in a fast-paced environment. I only worked for UPS for 8 months.
