I started Holcim in what was called the yard department. i was placed on clean up and small Maintenance and raw materials hauling task's for the hole plant. shortly after getting there the yard department was disbanded, I was placed in the finish grind department on clean up and maintenance. I quickly leveled up having the most experience in my group. while i was there was was trained on most of the heavy equipment; Vac-Truck, medium Cat loaders (950-982), Valvo articulating haul trucks, many different sizes and brands of skid steers, forklifts, as well as completing 2 classes on crane rigger and signal training. once I learned all that i could in that position i transferred to the quarry department leaning the quarry operation as well as the Cat 777 and 773 haul trucks , Cat 326 excavator, D9 dozer, 992 loader.

I started here assembling conveyor belts and all the components. while i was not doing that i was in the shop cutting out and finishing parts that would get shipped out to other companies. soon i was doing all the mantaince then building all the expansions while the company was rapidly expanding. once i was doing that 3 of us were doing work on fixing up a house and a church with other contracting and odd jobs. once the company had a few people leave and more jobs came in my roles switched more into the shop with getting trained on the cnc machines and doing most of the parts manufacturing. i was the main person for packing, receiving and loading parts and raw materials as my roles increased i ran the shop more with being the main operator with the 4 main cncs making sure jobs were getting completed in order and on time as well as making everything as efficient as possible. once the company slowed down it later went out of business.

Growing up on this farm i've done a multitude of tasks, before i started full time in 2019 i helped with basic ground work and up keep as well as maintenance on Buildings, Machinery, heavy equipment. feeding and caretaking of calves was my main role as well as maintaining and developing the hunting and field land. after starting full time my roles increased to full upkeep of land, Animals of all ages for health and food, buildings, milkers parlor and robotic, and equipment of all sizes. in addition to full time field work with cutting, working up, spreading fertilizer, storage; routinely watching for quality, pests and other problems. with hay and corn being the main crops on the farm.
