Researched Freshwater Sawfish rostrums under Dr. Jens Hegg Spring Semester of 2023. Used excel and ImageJ to measure and categorize rostrum and tooth length. Used wix ti help build website. Worked summer 2023 researching European Wool Carder bees. Continued research during Fall Semester of 2023 and analyzed the data collected over summer using JMP and excel. Presented research during 2023 Fall Family Weekend at Gonzaga University and then the Murdock Conference in Vancover, Washington. Volunteer experience with Science in Action, a program that conducts science projects with elementary school children. Then volunteered with Shaw Middle School and organized science projects with them.

  • Over summer captured and marked/tagged the bees for data analysis over the semester
  • During the semester analyzed the data using JMP and excel
  • Looked at the data and found that male wool-carder bees that are caught at a higher frequency weighted more, highlighting a correlation between size and territoriality
  • Presented this research at Gonzaga's Fall Family Weekend and Murdock Conference
  • Currently working on a research paper about our data.
