Earning a degree in biology taught me perseverance through taking difficult classes and dedicating time to learning the material. Research at Gonzaga University allowed to me apply my knowledge in an independent manner as I designed my own project using the data I gathered over the summer breaks. Over the past year I have fostered adaptability as I have moved several times to work seasonal biology related jobs.

- Rafting experience down streams to survey salmon and redds
- Took data from salmon including otoliths, snouts, sex, species, scales, and coded wire tags
- Floy tagged wild caught Chinook as well as used an operculum punch
- Helped work weirs and fish traps to accurately assess the numbers of wild and hatchery salmon
- Used databases such as ArcGis to navigate while in field and used iPads and Microsoft tablets to input data from surveys

- Over summer 2023 captured, marked, and tagged the bees for data analysis over my senior year
- During the semester I analyzed the data using JMP and excel
- I looked at the data and found that male wool-carder bees that are caught at a higher frequency weighted more, highlighting a correlation between size and territoriality
- I presented this research at Gonzaga's Fall Family Weekend and Murdock Conference
