During my time as a caregiver at an Alzheimer’s and dementia care facility, I provided compassionate and patient-centered care to residents with memory impairments. My responsibilities included assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as well as administering medications and supporting residents’ physical and emotional well-being. I worked closely with each resident to ensure their individual needs were met, while also maintaining a calm and supportive environment.

During my time as a car detailer, I developed strong attention to detail and learned how to thoroughly clean and restore vehicles to their best condition. I was responsible for both exterior and interior detailing, including washing, waxing, polishing, vacuuming, and removing stains from upholstery. My focus was always on delivering a high-quality finish, ensuring customer satisfaction with the final product.

This job taught me how to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of precision, as I often had to manage multiple vehicles in a limited time frame. I also became skilled in using various cleaning products and tools, as well as understanding the importance of maintaining a clean and organized work environment. My responsibilities included assessing damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, and ensuring proper alignment and finishing of body panels. I also worked on sanding, priming, painting, and buffing vehicles to give them a polished, factory-like appearance.

This role required me to pay close attention to detail, ensuring that every repair met safety and quality standards. I learned how to work efficiently under time constraints, balancing multiple projects while maintaining a high level of precision. My experience taught me problem-solving skills, as I often had to diagnose and address complex issues.

Working in a team environment also helped me improve my communication and collaboration skills, as I frequently coordinated with other technicians to complete jobs on schedule. Overall, my time at the autobody shop strengthened my technical skills, work ethic, and ability to deliver quality results under pressure.

As a youth sports photographer, my job was about capturing the excitement, energy, and emotions of young athletes during games. It’s challenging but rewarding to freeze the action at just the right moment, whether it’s a game-winning shot, a high-five between teammates, or the intense focus of a player on the field. I love being able to show not only the highlights but also the smaller, meaningful moments that tell a story about each athlete’s experience.

It’s not just about knowing how to use a camera; I need to understand the sport so I can anticipate where the action is going to happen. Being in the right place at the right time is key to getting the best shots. Plus, the photos I take aren’t just memories—they’re reminders of hard work, growth, and the fun of playing as a team.
