While in high school I participated in AFJROTC, for four years I learned about the history of flight along with learning leadership skills, military image and attention to detail. By senior year I became the corps commander and had the responsibility of leading over 100 students to succeed and enjoy AFJROTC. During that time our corps experienced a change in instructors which resulted in more cadet lead change along with a restructuring of the corps and students. Having the opportunity to lead over 100 students into a new vision of the OH-012 phantoms not only became about my accomplishments to achieve, but to better represent how the next classes to come can lead that drive and have pride in the unit.
