• Cardiology & Vascular Patient Care
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for cardiac and vascular procedures, including PCI, valve repairs (TAVR, mitral), pacemaker/ICD placement, ablations, angioplasty, stenting, and endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR/TEVAR).
• Conduct pre-op assessments, administer medications, monitor cardiac rhythms, and educate patients on procedures, recovery, and lifestyle modifications.
• Manage post-op recovery, including hemodynamic monitoring, chest tube care, pacemaker function, arrhythmia detection, and vascular access sites.
• Provide post-operative care for patients undergoing thrombectomy, catheter-directed thrombolysis, and carotid artery stenting.
• Maintain and monitor TR bands and femoral access sites, ensuring hemostasis, assessing for complications, and providing appropriate interventions.
• Provide comprehensive care for congestive heart failure (CHF) patients, including diuresis management, fluid balance monitoring, and guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) medication titration (beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, ARNI, MRA, and SGLT2 inhibitors).
• Care for patients on rhythm-controlling and rate-controlling medications for arrhythmia management.
• Perform post-op neurovascular Doppler checks and initiate interventions as needed to assess perfusion and prevent complications.
• Provide care for patients recovering from open vascular surgeries, such as carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm repair, and peripheral bypass surgery.
• Administer anticoagulants, vasoactive drips, and pain management while responding to complications using ACLS protocols.
• Collaborate with cardiology, vascular surgery, radiology, and interventional teams to coordinate imaging (echocardiograms, CT angiography, vascular ultrasounds) and optimize patient outcomes.
