In my position at Carroll Electric, I have been exposed to multiple different aspects of the job that I hadn’t been exposed to up to this point. I was assigned to a digger truck for a year. I was then placed on a construction crew, assisting in constructing new and existing infrastructure. After reaching a point in my apprenticeship, I could perform energized work in the bucket by myself, and I assisted with many single-phase applications and several three-phase tasks.
I assisted in the construction and maintenance of multiple substations. At Capital Electric, I was also placed on a transmission crew where we maintained and rebuilt multiple sections of transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 345kV.
