Hospitality Lead (Assistant Manager)

  • Rapidly onboarded for my role and trained during a period of immense stress for the restaurant in order for us to stay open (COVID spike in January) assisting my Operating Partner
  • Performed all closing and opening duties, such as: schedule modifications; shift approvals; adjusting staffing on the fly to meet labor targets; cash deposits and change orders; and auditing all transactions.
  • Drove KPIs as my primary AORs, such as Per Check Average, Beverages Per Check and Traffic, gaining company wide recognition several times for my performance.
  • Placed and picked up liquor orders averaging $2000 a week.
  • Closely monitored food quality and staff interactions with guests, proactively addressing issues to ensure customers receive a positive dining experience

  • Grown catering sales volume from ~$2000/month to nearly $20000/month between November of 2017 and March of 2018 by working with corporate to establish new operational norms and interfacing with local pharmaceutical representatives and doctors' offices to create a strong local client base. Also worked directly with EzCater for a large chunk of our catering.
  • Personally coordinated, delivered and setup over 1000 catering orders, interfacing directly with clients.
  • Trained 30+ drivers on organization, delivery of, and presentation of high volume catering orders
  • Performed vehicle inspections and ran all required paperwork to certify them safely and responsibly
  • Organized up to 5 drivers a day through logistical analysis to insure the greatest delivery quality, time efficiency, and labor cost reduction possible given any subset of orders
  • Coordinated and trained with corporate to operate our growing online ordering platforms to manage our systems effectively and knowledgeably

Accomplishments

Received Hospitality Warrior of the Month (company wide accolade) for driving catering sales to unprecedented heights at the Virginia Beach location shortly after my promotion to catering supervisor through targeting local businesses and cultivating relationships with high volume catering clients in the region, such as pharmaceutical reps.


Implemented a suite of best practices and training regiment for our newly expanded catering program circa 2018, as well as our delivery and catering refresh in 2021, training drivers and coordinating with management to streamline efficiency of operation.


Took the lead on rollout of new company practices at store level to help drive traffic in a post COVID world, developing strategies and best practices for distributing new promos at the local level.


National Beverage Contest winner (4 weeks in a row) for April-May of 2024. After being given the contest as a temporary AOR while performing management duties, I almost singlehandedly brought us from underperforming to the top performer for targeted beverage sales in the company with record numbers, gaining direct recognition from our regional VP four weeks in a row.
