Hunter Brooks Watson Memorial Fund, Founders Committee and Treasurer, My best friend, Hunter Watson, passed away in a car crash in June 2016. A few close friends and family members created a fund to honor his passions and interests. The fund generates donations through marketing the Foundation's goals and philosophy to various organizations, academic institutions, and generous individuals. I currently serve on the Board as a founder, and I am involved in the Foundation to discuss finances and grants to worthy applicants. We recently raised over $250K to award to a record 50+ individuals whom the committee has determined as having the qualities and ideas that Hunter would be inspired by, honoring the way Hunter lived his life.
