I am a friendly and curious individual just starting my career in biotech after earning my masters degree in biotechnology. In the workplace I am detail oriented and enjoy the challenge of problem solving while applying my robust laboratory skills and out of the box thinking to my projects. Outside of work I am a creative person and I love to learn new things. In my free time I enjoy solving puzzles, reading, and experimenting with new foods.
Work History
Teaching Assistant Synthetic Biology
2 Months
Uppsala University | 01.2025 - 03.2025
While a teaching assistant I taught a large lab section with approximately 40 students that involved an array of molecular biology techniques. During this time I was able to improve my skills in communication and project management. In addition I significantly improved my abilities to troubleshoot problems.
Skills I used: Conflict resolution, Leadership skills, Problem solving
Research Assistant
1 Month
Uppsala University | 07.2024 - 08.2024
As a research assistant at Uppsala University I worked on a project involving the production of short RNA constructs in vitro and His-tagged protein production in vivo, as well as extensive work with molecular cloning. During my time in the lab I further developed my laboratory skills as well as learned how to plan and run successful experiments. This work would form the foundation of my masters thesis.
Skills I used: Molecular cloning, SDS PAGE, In vitro transcription, Ni-NTA chromatography, Protein production, Aseptic RNA work
Quality Control Intern
2 Months
Boehringer Ingelheim | 06.2023 - 08.2023
During this internship I worked in the chemistry group of the quality control department where I pursued a project testing the feasibility of using software to analyze infrared spectra results of raw material samples used in GMP processes. I was responsible for planning executing and analyzing these experiments. I also became familiar with GxP and industry standards including working with SOPs and Veeva for document management. In addition to my project I helped my supervisor on their project and my coworkers with various laboratory tasks.
Skills I gained: FTIR, LIMS, GxP, Excel, Laboratory organization
Laboratory Assistant
10 Months
University of Hawaii | 08.2022 - 06.2023
My work as a laboratory assistant involved maintaining the laboratory facilities and stocks, as well as preparing samples and equipment for experiments. During my time in the laboratory I implemented a new organizational system.
Skills I used: Micropipetting, PCR, Autoclaving, Light microscopy
