- Set up many basic work zones on two lane roads, but also set up lane closures on multi-lane highways utilizing cones, arrow boards, and crash cushions.
- Learned to operate a Gradall. Used this machine to load storm debris onto dump trucks, remove and install culvert pipes, distribute and smooth asphalt and gravel, and install ditches to and from pipes.
- Operated a motor grader to grade gravel roads, cut ditches for water to runoff the road, and snow removal operations.
- Used a mini excavator to load materials into dump trucks, stack brush, load brush, and install pipes.
- Cut vegetation back with a Boom-axe and tractors mounted with sickle bar cutters and rotary mowers.
- Operated single axle and tandem axle dump trucks to spread stone, haul materials out to jobs, and for snow removal operations using a plow and spreader.
- Obtained my tanker endorsement so that i could apply brine to roadways and also apply dust control to gravel roads.
- Used a rubber tire loader to remove debris out of the roadway, pile up stockpiles of gravel, sand, and salt, load trucks with materials, and install snow plows on dump trucks.
- Utilized hand-held tools such as chainsaws, weed trimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers, and pole saws to remove vegetation from the roadway.
- Operated the Vactor to clear debris and gravel from pipes.
- Mixed and poured concrete for a job installing a ballard.
- Hand patched potholes using cold mix or hot asphalt in a hotbox for roadway repairs.
- HHMS experience. I learned how to create and check work orders and enter time.
- Experience with SWAS and helping with snow removal operations.
