Oklahoma Baptist University’s (OBU) nursing program is rooted in a tradition of academic excellence, Christian values, and hands-on experience, all of which work together to shape not just competent nurses, but compassionate caregivers and leaders in the healthcare field. The rigorous curriculum challenged me to develop both my clinical judgment and critical thinking skills, while also emphasizing the importance of serving with integrity and humility. The integration of faith into the learning process gave deeper meaning to the care I provide, reminding me that nursing is not just a profession—it’s a calling to serve others in their most vulnerable moments.

The faculty at OBU played a major role in molding me into the nurse I am today. Their dedication went beyond the classroom—they mentored, encouraged, and modeled what it means to truly care for patients as whole individuals, considering their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Clinical rotations gave me a broad range of experiences in various healthcare settings, helping me feel confident and well-prepared to transition into the workforce.
