Oversee the inspection, repair, maintenance and cleaning of commuter rail cars and locomotives and is responsible for the scheduling of maintenance and reporting repairs of the facility, shop equipment and tools. Coordinate all daily activities of the mechanical and cleaning employees, assist the Manager of Equipment oversee projects and 3rd party maintenance. · Create Monthly work orders for federal inspections and follow up on inspection ,repairs, and contractor's work. Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Performed daily inspection of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems on diesel locomotives and passenger railcars (rail equipment) using written task list within a specified time period. Conducted both interior and exterior inspections on rail equipment as required by federal and state regulatory agencies as well as company implemented policies and procedures. Completed equipment inspection forms, work order forms and other forms as required. Prioritized and completes repairs within scheduled allotted time in response to defects noted on crew daily inspection report. Completed assigned repairs in an efficient and timely manner.
