I'm a person that learns something new everyday and brings a good attitude. I've always been a competitive person that seeks to get better at what I do and enjoys working with people and building relationships. Currently as a group leader in machining I have many different responsibilities ranging from leadership responsibilities to problem-solving technical issues
Starting of the day by communicating with the previous shift to get an understanding of each machine status and current workload
Prioritizing where to put operators by taking into account machine overdues and current production schedule
Problem solving operators machine issues throughout the day that include, fixing machine alarms, automation issues, insert wear, part specifications, and anything else to help the machine run efficiently
Handling other operator needs such as finding work for machines, problems with gauges, computer problems, or whatever they need in order to stay running
Reviewing potential department needs with supervisor such as cross training, machine efficiency, and ways to improve current problems in department
Taking care of ADUN, MRB, and supply pro needs throughout the day
Making sure current 'hot' parts are being run and following through to get parts shipped out correctly
Going over opportunities for 5s projects and possible continuous improvement ideas
Diagnosing machine wrecks and tool damage to get an idea of the machine damage and coming up with ways to prevent misfortunes
Communicating with the next shift, process techs, group leads, and supervisors to make sure they are aware of each problem we currently have and what needs to be done so that they can have a successful shift

As a machinist at Crown my current job is to set up and operate three Lathes and two Robots, and run parts to correct specifications based off a blueprint
Setups consists of changing in and out chuck jaws, collets, various amount of tool kits, inserts, and changing programs
We machine various parts from less than a pound to parts over 100 pounds
To check parts I may need to use height gauges, micrometer, calipers, different types of bore gauges, optical comparator, and run CMM
Also responsible for offsetting lathes and fixing faults
While running and operating I also have various coolant and oil checks maintaining a correct balance

Strong knowledge in CNC lathes and Fanuc robots
Efficient in blueprint reading and checking parts with various amounts of gauges (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, indicators, optical comparators, and many others)
