Summary

Hi I'm Corey! I'm 28 years old and a huge automotive enthusiast. I've spent several years of my life developing extensive knowledge and experience in the automotive realm, and would like to expand my knowledge into other engineering fields. I like to think I'm enjoyable to work with, and bring a lot to the table as a motivated employee. As it has become increasingly difficult to find good employees in today's world, I hope that I stand out from the crowd! I'm currently looking for a full-time job with benefits, and am a fairly flexible person. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time of the week/day, and thank you for your time!

Work History

Area Production Supervisor

Enterprise Mobility
04.2023 - Current

I began at Enterprise as a full time detailer/driver for their Waukesha branch, and was promoted not long after to their "Area Production Supervisor" position. In this position I would supervise my own team of detailers as well as occasionally detailers at individual branches. Our area covers 6 different stores and we make sure that supply meets the demand for all of them on their most busy days. My duties include:

-Preparing high quantities of rental vehicles whether it be detailing them, getting them repaired and maintenanced, inspected, transported, test driven, and more.

-Communication with other managers in our area to meet the daily needs for each branch. This requires flexibility and planning which generally falls on me to make executive decisions to streamline our efficiency.

-I also have all the general oversight duties with my employees. Training them, making sure they stay on task, making their schedule, approving hours and pto, and addressing conflicts among some other aspects as a supervisor.

Some other things about my time at Enterprise that I would like to mention:

-Since my time as Production Supervisor, I've been able to consistently raise our area's customer service score in comparison to years' prior.

-Willing to work occasional overtime if needed despite being paid salary.

-I've been told by multiple branch and area managers that I am the best Production Supervisor they've had in their time with the company.

-Two of my employees have gotten promotions to higher positions, which is very rare for detailers.

-Have earned an "exceeds expectations" or higher on every monthly review with the company.

-Well-liked by all co-workers.

-Attended 3 management training courses provided by Enterprise.

Installer/Sales/Inventory/Ordering

Lake Country Customs LLC.
03.2014 - 02.2023

I started at LCC when I turned 18, sweeping floors and picking up knowledge for the first year. As time went forward, I became the primary installer of the shop. 3 of us ran the whole shop, so my responsibilities quickly became more than just installing. The shop itself provided high-end custom service on all types of vehicles ranging from cars, boats, motorcycles, and many other odd end vehicles. We offered electronics and audio installation, custom paint and airbrushing, custom fabrication, and upholstery as primary services but with the custom nature of the job, I feel like there wasn't much we didn't do besides full engine work. Some of my responsibilities and experience that I had picked up at my time at LCC are as follows:

- All types of electronic installations and troubleshooting on cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles.

-Extensive knowledge on 12V electronics and audio. Both aftermarket and OEM.

-Upholstery: Design, measure, and cut templates. Mild sewing experience. Worked with many adhesives.

-Painting: Lots of paint prep, wet sanding, buffing and polishing of quality paint products (i.e. mostly House of Kolor). And basic painting experience.

-Fabrication: Experience with dangerous machinery (i.e. routers, table saw, grindstone, misc sanders, etc.). Design, measure, and cut several types of wood, metal, and plastics. Lots of fitment adjustments with attention to detail.

-Some vinyl and hydrodipping experience

-Assembly/Dissassembly of all types of cars, trucks, boats, motorcylces, and powersports equipment. Most of which were high-end vehicles so I like to think I'm naturally careful, aware, and have a high attention to detail.

-Customer service experience: Was the primary consultant for most customer consultations. Set up appointments on Google calendar. Provide knowledge and answer customer questions in a respectful manner. good at dealing with picky customers. Relaying messages between business owner/customer. Understanding customer wants and needs and filling those satisfactions to build loyal customers. Selling products to customer with proper knowledge of said products. Occasionally giving customers rides and transporting their vehicle under their approval.

-Pre Check-Ins and Post-job cleaning: I was required to do a full check-in on every vehicle I worked on, both interior and exterior. Once a job was done, we would frequently do a quick detailing of the vehicle. If the job was a custom paint job, there was usually some buffing/polishing involved too. While I was not exactly a "detailer", I did many of the duties a detailer would generally do and have experience with a variety of cleaning products and paint treatment.

-High-End/Quality experience: Our primary customer base at the shop was to cater to wealthy consumers who were very picky about who worked on their vehicle. So I have alot of experience regarding how to handle these customers and their vehicles. I also did almost all dissassembly/reassembly on the projects so I have knowledge on how things come apart, as well as how to do so without damaging anything. Some of the vehicles I have worked on include everything from Porsches, Ferrari, BMW, Land Rover, Teslas, and many more.

-Management: With only 3 of us running the shop, I took on several management duties such as keeping inventory and product stocked, delegating who worked on what and when, estimating and communicating deadlines, awareness of profits made vs costs needed to stay afloat, making shop improvements for a more pleasurable and efficient work experience, and a couple other things here and there if the owner was overwhelmed.

-Product Inventory and Ordering: I also did most of the ordering through our distributors via both online and phone calls. This would include not only making sure parts were here in time for a job, but also making sure regular shop needs were stocked such as hardware, and other installation needs. When product arrived, I would also stock our shelves in an organized manner.

-Computer knowledge: We used Quickbooks for business records so my experience primarily lays with that software. But I am reasonably versed in how to use many other computer programs for designing projects, shop organization, and customer information.

-General Qualities: In my time at the shop, I believe I was built into what kind of worker most employers need these days. I am happy to say that I am extremely hard-working, loyal, understanding, and a competent employee. I know when to separate work/home life, can work under heavy pressure, follow directions, communicate well, and consider myself a friendly and motivated worker. Another trait I would list is the ability to take initiative to get something done without being asked, granted once I have an idea of what duties I can/cannot do. Cars is also my biggest hobby, so I care alot about what I do.

I understand this may be more detailed than necessary, but I wanted to be as thorough as possible about my work experience. Outside of work, I consider myself to be quite a handyman so my skillset does go beyond what is listed.
