My ability to construct and maintain relationships, whether they be personal or professional. My ability to explain a problem but also th solution is one that has allowed me to grow in any area of work I am a strong willed individual who wants to learn everything they can. I am someone who loves to get dirty. I enjoy the smell of diesel and fluids. I even enjoy the occasional wrench slipping and my knuckles hitting a hard piece of steel on a cold day. I will stop at nothing to ensure my success in my life. I hope to be a licensed mechanic and even a CDL driver one day.
When I started at best one I was in the passenger bay and the tire mount dismount area9where we build inventory or orders customers have sent in for their semi fleet. Doing passenger vehicles, diagnosing then fixing problems. Whether it was a bead leak or a bad sensor. Even just swapping the old tires for new tires. I was responsible for gathering the information of the vehicle and inputting it into tech forms.
It wasn't long before I got moved up to doing on the road service calls for Semis who needed service. As well as doing fleet checks which consist of going to a location and inspecting each and every vehicle in their lot. Which also turned into me doing agricultural calls, even oversized tires I use a crane to deal with. Following was forklift tires I can confidently change press on forklift tires or even air filled forklift tires. All Jobs other than the passenger bay were done using safe practice.
Although not permitted to do without a licensed mechanic I got the opportunity to fix many electrical issues. I have also fixed hinges on semi trailer doors. I have done brakes on sem trailers. I successfully fabricated tail gates and lift gates on a box truck. I am looked at as a leader. I maintenance our fleets vehicles, change hoses, diagnose problems and even work on our sprinkler system. I snow plow or shop in the winter and mow our grass in the summer.
I recently got nominated for the Big Dude award which compliments my work ethic and the following of our core values. Although I wasn't the top Big Dude I was still 1 of 4 company wide to be put on a post and hung at each location. During my Big Dude speech Nicole mentioned my willingness to help, to learn and to teach. She mentioned that she constantly see the desire to be great when she sees me.
Now i am just ready to learn more. On average my gross profit for the month stays around 12 grand or more. I do 24/hr service and can do most things without needing an extra hand!
I did everything I could with RJK. I was even Boom lift, skyjack, scissor lift 4x4 and non 4x4 scissor lifts. Also I have hours operating skid steers and bob cats. Lastly although not enough to be considered skilled, I have some seat time on a loader.
Although I didn't make this a long term career, I was able to learn a lot. I was able to train new hires, diagnose issues anywhere from leaks, improper volume to head ratios, electrical and even some plumbing issues from within the house. For most situations I was able to determine a solution and complete it in a efficient as well as professional manner.
