I started this position after learning about CarePortal during employment at Shepherd Church. My responsibilities include local networking, system management & support, New Church and agency Training, and disaster relief engagement. Since taking this position, a few projects I have started are the San Fernando Compassion Network and the Primary Point Person Monthly Meeting. The former is to create opportunities for organic networking withing the SFV while also promoting CarePortal, the latter is to create beneficial feedback loops with active users and ecosystem drivers.
I started this job as the Outreach Assistant, and being one of the main creators of the current system of Local Engagement, was promoted to the position of Local Outreach Event Coordinator. Position required high management, administrative and interpersonal skills.
I oversaw roughly 20 active groups that partnered with local non-profit organizations to provide volunteer opportunities. Included recruiting, training and managing over 30 volunteer leads. System accomplished 250 events per year at minimum, had over 800 active volunteers yearly, and impacted more than 10,000 people yearly in the Los Angeles area. It provides key support to a variety of social issues and needs, including care to: the Unhoused, the Foster System, and the Criminal Justice System.
The company was both an Investment Management Firm and Accounting House. My position contained work in both areas. I was responsible for the generation of partner and customer quarterly reports, Quarterly Analysis reports on managed portfolios, research and analysis support and monthly business accounting support. Job required both basic financial/accounting language and system comprehension and competency with Microsoft Excel.
Primarily worked as an event coordinator and intern for their middle and high school ministries. I worked with their mission ministry by recreating the Short Term Mission Trip handbook and creating a ESL ministry at the church.
Acted as the worked on the event planning team, helped manage the website, worked on public relations, engaged in community outreach and acted as custodial staff. My primary role was networking.
I worked in the College’s student center. I ran the snack counter, worked student events, and custodial duties
I taught an English class 6 days a week, 8 hours a day, at a summer English intensive in Changsha, China.
My team organized and executed several major youth events, I headed volunteer teams, was responsible for public relations, and Preaching.
