Intern in Strawberry Farming

  • I started as an intern here, helping with customers, and assisting with feeding animals on the farm, goats, dogs, pigs, chickens, peacocks, and rabbits
  • During the spring and summer months I worked on the hydroponic system that was there at the farm, and got it up and running, maintaining water PH, alkalinity, and levels in the system
  • We produced several batches of butter head lettuce, and Chinese cabbage, bok choy, bibb lettuce, and snap peas
  • I have been asked to come back during the winter to help with kidding goats, and nursing kid goats during the winter months
  • Also asked to come back next year to assist during their peak times, as a paid employee, assisted in getting the hydroponics going again.

  • 12th, FFA member, also served as the president of my high school FFA Chapter. I also served on the Randolph county FFA federation chapter as reporter. I showed goats with 4-H, on the Carolina Farm Credit show circuit. Livestock judging team, judging beef cattle, judging ewes, judging goats, and swine.
