As a Site Coordinator for Innovation Learning I am in charge of planning our curriculum and observing the site I am assigned to. While working for Innovation Learning I have served as a long time site coordinator within two schools in our district. However I have also had the opportunity to fill in when needed at our other sites. At the site I am currently at I plan curriculum each week some of which falls under the categories of Engineering, science, art, tech, and so much more. At my site I am responsible for attendance as well as attendance review at the end of the day. If a parent ever has a concern or there is something I am noticing with their student that I feels needs to be addressed I love the opportunity that I have in my position to spend time addressing those things with parents.
While in this position I was in charge of the company’s payroll as well as a large amount of the admin work. I closely followed HIPAA laws while putting client notes into the programs AdvancedMD and therapy notes. Additionally I was responsible for taking care of emails (from three different accounts) reconciling the schedule each week, responding to client calls, as well as obtaining intake paperwork from clients and uploading it to the correct location. In this position I also used programs such as Excel, Word, and a remarkable writing device. I also spent time running errands such as making deposits at the bank, grocery shopping, and setting up of our in person office.
While in this position I supported student teachers by mentoring on classroom management, lesson planning, and activity organization. I communicated frequently with parents, students, and faculty to provide feedback and discuss instructional strategies. As well as scheduled conferences with parents to discuss students' progress and classroom behavior.
Additionally I organized activities for learning experiences outside the traditional classroom setting.
While in this position I Independently took care of a group of 12 kids each day, Took care of billing and payments, filled out paperwork for USDA, and provided USDA-approved meals, as well as opening or closing depending on my schedule. While in this position I also acquired several certificates through Portland state university. I would go back in forth filling in for the two different sites that we had. My position ended due to Covid-19 and not enough hours being available
