In 2023, I was promoted from a Partner, where I focused on client service delivery and business development, to ScottMadden’s corporate Chief Operations Leader reporting to the CEO. My expanded leadership role includes accountability and oversight of multiple functions within ScottMadden. In alignment with our mission, vision, and values, I develop annual strategic plans, set and monitor budgets, and govern each functional area to drive results and provide excellent customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Marketing: Position the firm as a market leader to drive business growth. Promote ScottMadden’s services and capabilities by building brand awareness and attracting new clients; conduct market research to understand market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape; oversee digital marketing strategy to enhance our online presence, including website, social media profiles, and promotional campaigns; create content development and execution strategy; generate leads through customer relationship management technology; measure and analyze the effectiveness to optimize strategies based on data and feedback.
- Corporate Responsibility (Diversity & Inclusion): Collaborate with D&I Director and Steering Committee on producing annual corporate responsibility report; review and approve employee D&I focused communications; evaluate and approve D&I programs (e.g., ERGs)
- Compensation: Set compensation strategy with Executive team to provide fair and equitable compensation packages to employees; conduct annual market review to evaluate potential adjustments for consultants and staff positions
- Benefits: Design benefit programs for health and welfare and profit-sharing plans; conduct annual health and welfare review with benefits administrator
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management programs to encourage employee growth; establish process to evaluate performance against competences; create project and annual evaluation forms, performance improvement plans, and personal development plans; develop and execute career advancement / promotion policies; create competency ladder for all levels and positions
- Employee Relations: Create workplace policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards and ensure adherence to policies and regulations; develop programs and initiatives to enhance employee morale, satisfaction, and engagement; resolve conflicts and mediate disputes between employees to ensure a harmonious work environment
- Talent Acquisition: Source, recruit, hire and onboard top talent for MBA, experienced, analyst (undergraduate), intern, and corporate staff positions; develop sourcing strategy, document interview and hiring processes, create case studies, develop interview guides and supporting tools and templates; train and onboard new hires
- Talent Development: Establish and maintain learning and development strategy by level and competency; create curriculum and learning modules; liaise with external vendors for technical training support; deliver consultant focused training
- Knowledge Management: formulate a knowledge management (KM) strategy to ensure that we effectively capture, share, utilize and retains knowledge; create client data retention policies for data security; create and launch sharepoint site for storing intellectual property
