• Oversee overnight laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards and maintain positive relations with nursing staff
• Lead a team of technologists in executing complex diagnostic tests and procedures including maintenance of chemistry analyzers and in fast paced situations like MTPs in blood bank
• Follow laboratory protocols for specimen processing, analysis, and results reporting, strictly adhering to guidelines for running only quality samples in order to put out the most accurate results
• Rotate as a generalist through hematology, coag and urines, chemistry, blood bank, and limited testing in microbiology including PCR testing for COVID/flu and MRSA, kit testing for strep and mono, and working up positive blood cultures
• Recently attended Siemens Atellica key operator training in Tarrytown NY, April 2026 and was made a super user for Meditech Expanse as we switched over from SoftLab

June 2010-December 2014: Worked as a per diem generalist on evening shift which included hematology, coag and urines, chemistry, and limited testing in micro.

Decmber 2006-June 2010: Worked in core lab on day shift. During this time the lab was transitioning from Lab Corp to CMC and I helped implement and train others to use the Centaur, attended Siemens school for the Vista, and was a super user for SoftLab as we changed LIS systems

Worked as a generalist on evening shift in all departments including blood bank.
