I am an experienced Certified ACPE Educator that enjoys the work that I do. Moreover, I love and appreciate Spartanburg and its surrounding communities after having lived here for sixteen years with my family. I very much want to contribute to the well-being of this healthcare system and community. I would highly value the opportunity to do so in the capacity of Director of Chaplain Services.
In previous employment with Spartanburg Regional, I received the "Extra Miler" award in 2001, "Employee of the Month" award in 2002 and the "Beyond the Call of Duty" award in 2002. I was also active in Relay for Life, National Cancer Survivors Day, and Christopher's Camp for many of the years that I worked here. I have also had experience in crisis intervention. I worked with the National Organization of Victim Assistance to provide crisis intervention in Mississippi during hurricane Katrina and in New York in September of 2001 and March of 2002. I also worked with the Salvation Army at the D-Mort in Louisiana during Katrina.
