Throughout my Marine Corps career I have held the duties/billets listed below...
Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Inspector
- An E5 billet in which I have been granted deviation to have as an E4.
- Able to inspect and perform maintenance on all components that have been deemed flight critical (ie. install, rig, and functional test horizontal stabilizer actuators, Upper Lift Fan Door actuators, Roll Post Nozzle actuators, install panels forward of intake to prevent ingestion, etc.
- Skilled in researching, reading, and interpreting drawings, maintenance technical manuals, directives, and data.
- Fully qualified in technical field for F35B (held Collateral Duty Inspector billet previously, performed all demonstrations/discussions, passed all test pertaining to the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program, F35B airframe, and low observable.
- Successfully trouble shoot all issues pertaining to the lift system, flight control systems, landing gear, etc.
- Proficient in ALIS with documenting maintenance, electronically removing and installing parts, checking applicability of parts to specific aircraft, submitting Action Request to engineers, etc.
Low Observable Technician/Inspector
- Capable of performing and inspecting all maintenance related to the stealth coating on the Outer Mold Line of the aircraft (ie. apply proper paint stack ups, planform and align boot/tape insertion repairs to maintain proper angles, restore canopy transparency to LO capable for missions, etc.)
Airframes Alternate Tool Control Representative
- Stood up tool control program for VMFA-542
- Ensured all tools were properly etched/seal and updated tool control manuals for each tool box in the work center as to be NAMP compliant.
- Flawlessly passed MALS and WING inspections of tool control in work center for squadron.
Airframes Embark Representative
- Was responsible for all of work center's tools, consumables, etc. being packed and moved between the USA, Iceland, and Norway.
VMFA-542 Alternate Single Marine Program Representative
- Advertise to the squadron's single Marines events being held.
- Attend monthly meetings bringing up quality of life issues in the barracks or issues throughout MCAS Cherry Point to the base Sergeant Major and other higher ups.
My significant accomplishments throughout my Marine Corps career are listed below...
- Performed and lead first 364 Day Corrosion Inspection on the F35B working with engineers identifying and treating corrosion in 17 aircraft panels and bays. During inspection identified over 50 fastener holes with extreme pitting, all of which reamed in accordance with engineer diameters and manufactured sleeve bushings to be installed.
- Assisted with two full F35B engine removal, install, and operational checks while not being a power plant mechanic while on rescue detachments.
- One of the few people entrusted and ran the Airframes work center for VMFAT-501 and VMFA-542, delegating maintenance task, managing shop workload, and answering to maintenance control.
- Assisted VMFA-542 with standing up as a new squadron, accepting all 10 aircraft, and becoming fully operational ready to deploy.
