Provide instruction to individuals and groups looking to improve and expand their proficiency in the use of firearms. Instruction and material is designed for participants of varying skill levels from beginner to advanced and is given in a classroom setting as well as live fire. An emphasis on safety is always included and ensured during instruction.
Supervision of customers utilizing an on site indoor firearms range. A primary aspect of this position is the observation of all persons present to ensure the safety of everyone. Instruction is also provided to persons seeking assistance.
Provide supervision of daily operations and employees involved in the shipment of packages through the facility.
Throughout my 25 year career as a Pennsylvania State Trooper I served in a variety of positions. The following is a synopsis of positions held
-Patrol Trooper: enforcement of criminal and traffic laws within the Commonwealth. Generate and submit written reports in a timely manner.
-Vice /Narcotics enforcement: A specialized position which focused on the investigation, enforcement, and prosecution of individuals involved in the illegal distribution of controlled substances.
-Federal Task Force Officer with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, and Firearms: A specialized position focused on the investigation of higher level criminals involved in the illegal use, manufacture, or distribution of firearms. This position also involved frequent testimony in federal court proceedings as a part of the judicial process.
-Special Emergency Response Team, Tactical Unit: This position involved the response to and resolution of high risk police matters within the state of Pennsylvania. Another aspect of this position involved the presentation of instruction to state and local law enforcement in the response to high risk situations.
-Firearms Instructor: providing instruction on the safe and effective use of firearms and ensuring the proficiency of all members in the use of various firearms.
-Patrol Unit SupervisSupervisor: Upon attaining the rank of Corporal within the State Police I was responsible for the supervision and direction of members at my assigned station.
For the past 30 years I have maintained and cared a collection of various species of non- venemous and venemous reptiles including Burmese pythons, Colombian red tailed boas, ball pythons, California king snakes, corn snakes, bull snakes, rat snakes, western diamondback rattlesnakes, eastern diamondback rattlesnake, banded rock rattlesnakes, red diamond rattlesnakes, African bush vipers, blue and green insularis, coral cobras, copperheads, common snapping turtles, soft shelled turtles, American alligators, Nile monitors, and assorted gecko species As a part of my ongoing interest in herpetology i have studied each species and the proper care and handling requirements of each I maintain safety protprotocols and practpractice safe handling procedures at all times
in addition to my experience with these animals I have given numerous group speeches and presentations relative to my other job assignments and am comfortable dealing with groups and individuals while presenting information and answering questions
