Selected to the LAPD/FBI Violent Fugitive Task Force, where I was Deputized as a Federal Task Force Officer. I was given Top Secret clearance, which was issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I was personally involved in and conducted thousand of surveillance and arrest operations for high profile cases of suspects wanted for armed, violent crimes within the Los Angeles area. The majority of these suspects were wanted and arrested for murder. I have conducted thousands of mobile surveillance, static surveillance, and undercover operations.

I was promoted to Detective II, as a Gang Detective supervisor. I was tasked with mentoring and supervising table detectives and gang officers. Led investigations to dismantle criminal organizations and disrupt gang activities within the community. These investigations involved the crimes of attempted murder, robbery, assault with deadly weapons, car jacking, burglaries, theft, and stolen vehicles. In addition, I routinely attended City Wide Gang Investigation and Community Resource meetings.
I was promoted to Detective and assigned to work the Mission Division Gang Impact Team. Here I was tasked with investigating gang related crimes, obtained and served search warrants, kept and updated gang member intelligence information, testified as a gang expert in criminal court, and routinely filed violent gang related cases with LA County District Attorney's office. During my tour as a gang detective, Mission Division had a reduction in violent gang related crime and shooting incidents.
I was selected to work the elite Metropolitan Division, where I worked as a Police Officer III. I was assigned to work crime suppression details, surveillance and stakeout details for serial criminals, service of high risk search warrants, and crowd control details throughout the City of Los Angeles. As a member of Metropolitan Division, our unit routinely trained with rifles, shotguns, and handguns. This training included movement shooting, firing from vehicles, and building searches. While assigned to Metropolitan Division, I was responsible for Dignitary Protection Details. These details worked in conjunction with the United States Secret Service, for the President and the Vice President of the United States and their family members. In addition, I also worked with State and local government agencies for protection details of domestic and foreign dignitaries.
