During my years being a Police Officer I gained a wealth of experience dealing with the public and extensive training throughout my career. I've made 154 arrest with 5 excellent Police duty accommodations. I worked in the Highway Safety unit for 15 years of my career and received commanders days rewards for my work ethics. I've written over 30,000 Summons to hazardous driver's with a 92% conviction rating. I've also performed a training video for the Police Department explaining the Vision Zero infractions and the importance of safe driving. I've also appeared on CBS News explaining how to use a Lidar speed gun and perform speed estimations. Throughout my encounters with the public. I was able to deescalate hundreds of situations where temperatures ran high in dealing with the public in various instances especially when issuing a Summons for a traffic infraction or breaking up a disagreement with 2 or more individuals. I used verbal judo which is a technique when speaking to high tampered individuals. It helps to bring their temperatures down without going to their level to gain voluntary compliance. My training is very extensive and includes Information and security awareness, Active shooter, Racial profiling and bias base policing, Level 1,2,3 and 4 Investigative Encounters, Neighborhood Policing, Constitutional Policing at Community Events are just a few out of over a hundred more covering my career and are available when needed.
