  • I currently work as a Senior Health Community Nurse I serve all Refugees that come into Hillsborough County I give them counseling and ask them about their Medical History perform mental health assessment along with STD testing and TB testing. A Physical Exams is also performed during their visit. Alongside of that I administer their vaccines and from time to time draw their labs. I also help set them up with a list of providers that can continue their care. I go over all lab results with the patient while on site if any patients’ results are positive, I then help them navigate through what their next steps will be.

  • I work through Cerner to chart on all my patients I do everything from vital signs and taking glucoses to assisting in small bed side procedures also calling in consults and pages to the different doctors on behalf of the nurses.
