  • Medical Claims, Insurance Audits , taking care of repairable claims, fixing any issues with ICD-10 codes, or CPT codes and modifiers that might have been filed wrong in the claim
  • Claim Adjuster, provide proper documentation(medical records) for the insurance companies to accept the claims and pay for the services that the physician rendered.
  • Dispute unpaid insurance claims with the insurance companies and submit any missing paperwork or information requested.

Responsibilities

Overseeing daily office operations, up to date on patient information and insurance, ensuring compliance with HIPPA regulations, and providing exceptional patient service. Over-all as head of medical records department, I made sure any insurance request for medical records was completed and sent over in a timely manner to make sure that the office and physician received reimbursement or payments for any claims that were denied. Made sure that every patient insurance was up to date, checked before arrival to make sure it was active and made sure that we provided the patients with details with their copays and deductibles, so billing went smoothly.

Implemented new procedures and technologies that improved efficiency and work flow, in order to increase the business revenue to continue to provide exceptional patient care.
