In my current role at Precision Walls, I am fortunate to work across both the field and office, contributing to various aspects of the operation. My responsibilities range from layout and UL framing design to overseeing project budgets and ensuring our clients receive a product that meets the highest standards. As a Senior Layout Technician, I also mentor and train new layout technicians to ensure accuracy from the very beginning of each project. This proactive approach not only ensures the quality of our work but also enhances Precision Walls' reputation, benefiting both our clients and field partners.
By identifying layout discrepancies before any work begins, my team and I help save a significant amount of money, while reinforcing our credibility for future projects. Additionally, I have taken on the role of DPC Coordinator, where I oversee the budget coordination process. The reports generated by my DPC technicians highlight areas of strength and weakness on each project. For example, if we are spending more on drywall installation than anticipated, we can adjust the schedule and workforce to stay on track, ensuring we meet both timeline and budget requirements. This data is invaluable not only for managing resources but also for enabling foremen and project managers to focus on areas that need attention.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role at Precision Walls is my work as a Trainer. This opportunity allows me to travel across various branches, including the Charlotte location, and train employees on a wide range of topics. Whether I'm working with an aspiring foreman with just one year of experience or a seasoned professional with 15 years, I am passionate about helping them grow not only in their technical skills but also in their understanding of the values and culture that define Precision Walls. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see individuals eager to develop and advance within the company.

Currently the role I have within Precision Walls allows me to navigate and help any part of the field and office. This ranges from Layout to the UL design in framing to making sure the jobs budget is running great to making sure the client gets their product 101%. With being Sr. Layout Technician I help train the new layout techs to make sure the job is marked correctly. This allows the job to be correct from the very beginning. Not only this helps Precision Walls be the best but also our customers and field partners. If me or my layout team finds any bust in the layout portion prior to any work be installed this helps saves a significant amount of money. This also secures our bond to complete future jobs together. Coming into the DPC role which I take as the budget coordinator. With the sheets that my DPC Techs comes up with shows where is the weak and strong spots on any particular project. For an example the sheets can show that we are spending more than installed for hanging drywall, that means we would need to install for the next week to make sure we are on top of schedule/budget. That can be used also by the foreman of a job to manage manpower and even our project managers to see where the budget needs the most attention. Now the part that I love the most about being a part of Precision Walls is being a Trainer. This allows me to travel not only in my Charlotte branch but any PWI branch. I can train anyone and on any topic. We have guys that are up and coming stars to be foreman. I am either sent to them or they are to me to be trained on not just being a foreman but being a PWI employee. There could be a guy with only 1 year of experience or a guy with 15 years of experience but when they see me they always want to be trained and grow within.
