In this job I am responsible for overseeing the operation of the camp's medical program. A few key responsibilities include training medical volunteers, day-to-day operation of the camp infirmary, and maintaining inventory of medical supplies.

In this role I was role I was responsible for operating the camp clinic alongside the other members of the medical team which rotated on a weekly basis. Some key responsibilities in this job included dispensing medication, wound care, COVID-19 testing, responding to emergencies, seeing patients in the clinic, and documenting all patient care. Additionally, I was responsible for keeping the infirmary organized and stocked in preparation for each camp week.

I worked as an EMT at the Sullivan Arena Mass Care Shelter which housed around 500 individuals experiencing homelessness. While there, I provided medical care to residents to reduce the strain on the emergency rooms in Anchorage. In this role, I primarily treated overdoses, mental health crises, cold-related injuries. This job helped me strengthen my interpersonal skills and taught me to have compassion for my patients.
