- I started at the location on 96th and Pacific as a Recovery Associate, My duties as a recovery associate was straightening merchandise, restocking shelves and generally tidying up the sales floors. I have also picked up extra hours at other locations to help stores in need. I then transferred to the Dollar Tree On Canyon Rd where I was offered a assistant manager position which in addition to doing recovery like clean up I also was in charge of other recovery associates which I would direct them to the specific Aisles I felt needed the most attention. I also was in charge of the front end of the store, I would help other cashiers by managing the lines if they began to get long, I was in charge of giving all associates their breaks/lunches on time. On my shift I was in charge of the safe, I would give change to cashier if needed, cashing out the cashiers tills and making sure all money was on count at all times, on top of making sure my own duties were also getting completed which would be from stocking shelves, to setting up end caps or displays as presented to me in our corporate standard planner. While doing all tasks I would also show great customer service to all customers weather it was helping them during check out, helping them find an item in the store or greeting them while coming in our doors. I currently am now a Merchandising Manager at the Bethel Station location where my main duties are to take in weekly trucks that supply our store with the product we have for the customers. I work most of my shifts Stocking shelves and setting up corporate standard displays and endcaps. I am in charge of any new resets corporate sends our way to make sure all aisles get set to perfection, On top of my merchandising duties I also run the front end of store during store hours which includes making sure cashiers take breaks/lunches on time, making sure they are staying busy with tasks in between customers, making sure cashiers have the right amount of change and cash they need and keeping all money in safe on count.
