• Under the direction of the RN preceptor, I completed complete head-to-toe examinations and took vital signs for assigned patients, noting any changes in their conditions and reporting the results appropriately.
• Helped preserve patient comfort, skin integrity, and mobility by providing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as feeding, toileting, ambulation, repositioning, hygiene, and transfers.
• Adhered to the "five rights" of medication administration and accurately documented in the electronic health record (EHR) while administering oral drugs (and additional medication routes as authorized by the preceptor).

• Direct nurse care was given under supervision to patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), a high-acuity setting that supports patients with life-threatening diseases such as advanced life support requirements, multi-organ dysfunction, and cardiopulmonary instability.
• Performed thorough head-to-toe examinations, tracked both invasive and non-invasive vital signs (such as telemetry, arterial lines, central venous pressure, and oxygen saturations), analyzed lab and ABG results, looked for hemodynamic patterns, and detected minute changes in the patient's condition.
• Mechanical ventilators, vasoactive drips, numerous IV infusions, central and arterial lines, dialysis/CRRT sets, and sedation/analgesia protocols are examples of complex equipment that I participated with and witnessed being managed.

• Engaged in direct patient care in a trauma-designated facility's emergency department (Level III), offering nursing assistance for the timely evaluation, resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of injured patients.
• Developed the time-management, critical-thinking, and situational awareness skills essential to trauma nursing; developed the capacity to prioritize nursing activities throughout the ED spectrum, including trauma activations, urgent medical emergencies (such as stroke or cardiac arrest), and routine emergent visits.
• The foundation of emergency/trauma nursing is resilience and adaptation, which are fostered by a setting of high acuity, diversity of presentations, and dynamic changes in patient status.
