• Maintain student and faculty/staff confidential health records.
• Maintain records for and assist students with care for chronic health conditions.
• Ensure all policies are followed and all documentation is performed for all daily prescriptions administered, as needed prescriptions administered, and as needed over the counter medications administered. Maintain documentation written and on computer system (EMR)
• Serve as the sole medical professional on the premises to provide basic first aid and emergency care for all approximately 650 students and 60 faculty/staff on a daily basis.
• Maintain a clean and organized nurse clinic. Control amount of persons in clinic for infection control.
• Established good relationships with and good communication between students, parents, and faculty to ensure good student care and knowledge of student health information as necessary.
• Bill Medicaid as needed for Medication Administration for specific students as directed to by Special education department.
• Perform hearing and vision screenings on specific students and ensure parental consent is provided.
• Maintain all student immunization records and send out reminders to parents when immunizations are expired or nearing expiration date.
• Assist School Registrar in ensuring all required registration documents are received by the school including birth certificate,immunizations, Forms for vision/hearing/dental/nutrition, and provide withdrawal letters to parents when asked to by Registrar.
• Organize faculty flu and student flu clinic schedules.
• Participate in student scoliosis screenings yearly for 2 middle schools in the district.
• Review all student health information cards as received and send further documentation/care plans to parents and/or doctors to complete for students with Asthma, Severe Allergies, Diabetes, seizures, and any other chronic illness requiring specific care at school.

• Work as the main contact at the school regarding Covid-19.
• Provided real-live documentation on students and staff Exposed, Positive, or Suspected of Covid-19 so the information can be sent to Health Department. Contract trace any close contacts to a positive student/staff. Contact the parents of students and explain procedure for quarantine.
• Screen students with symptoms of Covid-19 and take appropriate action in sending students home and recommending doctor evaluation and possible Covid testing.
