To obtain full time employment at LEGO as a Social Responsibility Manager. • Created and led STEAMQuest for 2023 and 2024- STEAM competition between 4 schools in Chesterfield County (about 150 students in grade second through fifth). I worked with a team to create the challenges; planned a budget for supplies, shirts, food for volunteers, and other needs; organized and trained 50 volunteers for the event.
• Created and led a virtual STEAM competition in 2021 for students at AM Davis. I created the challenges, ordered supplies and shirts for students, organized volunteers to create supply bags, and trained volunteers to judge the competition.
• Annually creates the school-wide daily schedule and the resource class schedule including employee's requests.
• Wrote several grants to expand our 3D printing capabilities at AM Davis Elementary School.
• Led and Organized a school-wide "Genius Hour" event. Students researched a topic of their choice and created a presentation, of their choosing, to share what they learned to other students, faculty, and families at Hopkins Elementary.
• Worked with our local 4 H Organization to create a garden at Hopkins Road ES and create an afterschool garden club for all students.
• Wrote several grants to install a raised garden at Hopkins Road Elementary School.
• Awarded one of the 2018 MCD Awards (grant) by the Chesterfield Education Foundation for creating a Maker Space in a school’s library
• Completed training, through CodeVA in 2018, to be one of Chesterfield County’s Computer Science Coaches
• Created science instruction modules in our learning management system, Canvas, for third through fifth grade students
• Led trainings at the Summer Content Institute for ALL third grade teachers on Science instruction through the use of the Canvas course
• Led trainings at the Summer Content Institute and all day PD for 5th grade teachers on Computer Science and Breakout Classrooms
• Science Lead for 3 years at Hopkins to relay information from our county meetings to our school staff, handle the school’s science budget and ordering yearly science supplies for the whole school, and ensure science safety standards are being met for the school.
• Resource Classes Team Leader for 4 years at AM Davis Elementary School to relay information from our leadership meetings, present requests to administration and school, and ensure we are meeting deadlines on school wide requests.
• Awarded 2018 Chesterfield’s Outstanding Science Teacher for the third quarter.
• Awarded the 2018 Program Excellence Award State and Southeast District winner by the Virginia Cooperative Extension
